Rating: 3, don’t bother, there’s a movie that’s way better
An Interesting Story of Nothing Significant
In fact, the most significant thing about this book is that it was made into a movie and that movie maintains a close following to the original work. It’s not even that I didn’t enjoy the book or the narration because I really did, but it’s really nothing noteworthy or special. Kids being kids on an adventure of recklessness. I’ve been to Phi Phi Island and it’s a train wreck because of this book and subsequent movie; it’s littered with trash and tourists. I normally listen at 3x speed and had no problems with this narration.
